BIOGRAPHY

Nigerian big who will get his US passport in the summer of 2023 and who has played, during his 5-year NCAA career, for Fordham University and California State Northridge University, playing in one of the best Conferences in the country (Atlantic-10) and possibly the most respected mid-major (Big West). In his best season at Fordham, Eyisi averaged close to 7 points, 6 rebounds and 1 block per game, with a best game where he scored 17 points against Davidson University (with Breogan’s current center Luka Brajkovic). With the transfer to California, Eyisi raised his numbers to almost 10 points and 5 rebounds per game, although in his last season, the bad season of his team (and the lack of sports objectives) led his coach to bet on younger players, lowering Eyisi’s numbers especially from January, when the Nigerian player started to play only in a testimonial way. With his 2.06 meters and his Cotonou passport, he now seeks to show in pro basketball the level that led him to sign for Fordham and reach almost double digits in scoring in his debut with CSUN.

REPORT

In his style, Eyisi stands out for being a physical, powerful and mobile big player, outstanding in the offensive situations especially for his ability to finish, both in pick and roll or doubled balls situations, in addition he has a more than interesting ability to finish in low post plays, where he stands out mainly for his ability to finish with both hands. There, he’s a very effective player with his fakes but, above all, with a very effective ‘hook’ turning to both of his shoulders and sides, which makes him difficult to defend for his rivals. In addition, Eyisi can shoot from the middle range, being able to shoot regularly at 4-5 meters. In defense, Eyisi stands out mainly for his ability to defend in the low post and in pick and roll situations, as well as for showing a very good reading and quickness to help his teammates. He’s a good blocker, both in one-on-one situations in the post and in help situations. Smart, tough and diligent, he’s a player that every coach wants to have in the locker room.
